Evening Session
The evening session consisted of a tasting of red, rosé, and white wines from the Antipodes, the Americas, South Africa, France, Italy and Spain. Wines, made from the traditional grape varieties of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, together with interesting and rather more unusual wines made from grapes not so well known, such as Verdelho, Verdejo, Verdicchio, Viognier, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Carmenere etc . [see list below] West country cheesemakers Lye Cross Farm were also on hand for people to try their favourite wine with some excellent west country cheese and entertained by jazz & folk band Three Piece Suite.
